We are moving

Never EVER did I think when I left home 9 years ago that I would be moving back to my home town, nor did I ever want to. My mom always told me growing up "never say never because if you do it is surely to happen" I am a believer now!

In January 2013 I was offered to work as a dental hygienist for my Uncle in Alamosa starting after I graduated. I said no. We did not want to live there. I found a full time job in Springs, well I should say Chris actually found it for me,  he trained the Dentist I currently work for and they waited for me to graduate, take boards and get licensed. WOW!  Not only were they very patient and accommodating they paid me well, really well actually and I feel so horrible leaving them so soon. Shortly after I began working we began to crave the country and it was getting harder and harder to leave "the farm" thats what we call my parents place. Springs is getting crazy busy and quite annoying to drive in. We no longer could see ourselves permanently living here. Our motives, wants, goals, were all of a sudden changing. We started seeing what we actually wanted for us and a future family in a whole other perspective.  Chris had pretty much peaked with his profession with a bachelors degree so the next logical step was Grad School. That October my uncle had approached me once again about a hygiene position since his hygienist was getting married. A few weeks before that we discovered that Adams State Univeristy in Alamosa had a Masters in Exercise Physiology. We could not believe how perfect the timing was. So we started making the arrangements to leave. I love my job here in Colorado Springs and never realized before how hard it would be to leave some of my patients and people that I have met. The closer we get to moving the more we start to miss the city and the convienence of it, yet I get excited at the thought of going back to my roots and seeing Chris live a childhood dream of being in the country, being around my siblings and their new families, seeing Chewy being able to run leash free and roll in horse poop, and seeing my parents experience being grandparents for the first time (hopefully by one of us 2 soon to be 3 married Barr kids) So with all of that being said we will be moving the end of this month. Stay tuned as more of this story has yet to unfold.
