At the end of my last post I had said to " stay tuned for more of the story was to unfold" at that moment we knew things were going to eventually change but we had no idea how soon.
A few weeks before we were to move back to my home town Chris hesitantly approached me about some thoughts he had been having about grad school. He told me wasn't feeling good about it and that he kept feeling that he was suppose to do something else, be a chiropractor. Initially I was irritated with the thought of this but I saw a determination and excitement that I had not seen in him for sometime. How could I hold him back from this feeling? Its not that unusual for him to pursue this field because initially thats what he was going to school for years ago but his path changed (thankfully so we could meet) and he pursued other things.
Sadly there are not any chiropractor schools in Colorado so we have no choice but to leave the state which really bums me out. Looking at schools we noticed he was lacking a few chemistry classes that he couldn't take at the same time so we assumed he had another year or so of school. We decided to continue on with our move (kind of had no choice we both had quit our current jobs and they had already found our replacements and we had new jobs counting on us to start in 2 weeks!). Both schools told Chris that he needed to apply to the programs first to see exactly what classes he needed and so began the whole annoying application process. Shortly after we moved we heard back from a school and Due to his high GPA, his Bachelors covering some chemistry classes, and his background with the human body, they were overlooking those missing chemistry classes and said he could start this fall. All he has to do is take some test and then will be under academic monitoring for a year (its a 4 year program). We were and still are a little shocked about how soon this is all happening but it all must be meant to be. School starts in September so we will probably be moving in August some time. Chris is very excited to begin, I m excited and scared all at the same time. Moving states is always hard and even harder when there is a lengthy process for a hygienist to get a license to practice in another state but we will make it work.
