We have made it to Colorado! I m still in shock that I m even living here again and the fact that I m just a 2 hr drive from my parents. When Chris and I got married it looked as though there was no way we would ever be back . Amazingly enough things fell right into place so here we are. we moved into our apartment this weekend. The one we originally were going to move into was being remodeled and won't be ready until October so we are in a different one. It is really clean but does smell like a cheap hotel. Thank goodness for scensty and febreeze. It is also very small and there is no private yard for Chewy so that is all going to take some time getting used too. Chris has already done some research on the good fly fishing spots so he will be checking those out this week hopefully he will be impressed. I already miss friends and am bummed that I won't be seeing some nieces and nephews as often as we did, but we are excited to be working on our next chapter in life.

As of Late

The last several weeks have comprised of  packing, organizing, and traveling back and forth between Utah and Colorado trying to get  everything ready for the upcoming semester. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate that drive?  I am ready to get back into the routine of only driving it once or twice a year.

 I found out the first week of April that I was accepted into the program and it seemed August was forever away, now we are less then 2 weeks from the move and I still don't have everything ready. Summer has gone by way too fast.

Six years ago I was pretty much doing the same thing except I was moving to Utah, didn't have a  hubby, and had a lot less stuff. My parents brought me out to Utah and now they will be taking me, plus two (this includes chewy not a baby), back to Colorado. Cross your fingers there isn't car accident this time around.

What has Chris been up to you may wonder? Well he is still doing the same thing over and over. eat, sleep, work, school.  Just a few more months and he can eliminate the school part. Finally one of us will be done. In case you wondering my program is 2 years. I m crossing my fingers really hard that is goes by fast. I m ready to move on with life.

Gotta Love Campfires

Who needs camping when your parents have a fire pit in the backyard?  Beats sleeping in a tent and not having showers but still get the feel of camping.

We did this almost every night while in Colorado with either cousins, grandparents, or friends. Chris introduced my family to some Filipino barbecue,which they loved.  Here are some pics from a few nights while there.

I have to show my dads pride and joy, the fish named Pez. This bad boy not only escaped owls that killed the rest of the fish but and entire winter in below zero temperatures with out running water to provide O2. Pez has gotten rather fat since the last time I saw him due to the many kids feeding him dog food.

Busy

I had orientation on the 3rd and the timing was perfect with Jerrica's graduation the week before. This allowed us to get some things straightened out for school and find a place to live.We had a hard time deciding whether or not to live in Pueblo or Colorado Springs. I love Colorado Springs and it has more opportunities for Chris to work in his field. Pueblo on the other hand has never really interested me and it has some what of a bad reputation. But after spending a few days looking for a place we thought it was best that I live close to the school and my family  and Pueblo isn't as bad as I remember, so Pueblo it is. Our apartment is in the most convenient  place and its currently being remodeled, bonus! The move won't happen until the beginning of August but  I m really excited to live closer to family and friends and to have our "own" place again. Chris is looking forward to the move so that makes me even more happy. The next few months are going to be really hectic but we are looking forward to the adventure.

Graduation

My little sister graduated from high school last week. I don't know if everyone with younger siblings has a hard time seeing them graduate or if its just me. It's more a weird feeling knowing that they are that old. I am still happy for her and am excited to see what she does with her life. I am even more excited because she is moving to Pueblo as well!

In Sanford they have the Junior girls walk before the grads in their prom dresses. Its a small town thing and there is  usually only like 10 girls  or so in a class. This happens to be my cousin Kylan.

Yes We Did

I had to go home to Colorado to get some school stuff in order for this fall and lucky for me I was home for the royal wedding. We woke up around 2:30 to watch how it was all going down. We didn't need to get up that early because it was recording on DVR but we did anyway its much funner that way.
 They said 2 billion people tuned in to watch it WOW! I cant't pin point why so many people find it so fascinating. Maybe its because  the girl next door married the future king or the fact that this world is a very sad place and it gave many a glimpse of happiness and hope. As for myself I loved every mintute of it.
There were several things that I liked about it obviously I loved kate's dress but I will have to say that I loved her sister Pippas dress even more. I want that dress. I was starting to fall off the David Beckham band wagon but after seeing him at the royal wedding I may consider staying on. As for the hats, there were some I liked and some that we wondered what were they thinking?



 



Jerrica and I watched the entire thing start to finish in bed. We even drank our tea and had english chocolate (thanks to our english friends) I know we look beyond disgusting but we had to  capture the moment. I thought it was funny.

What do you do when your husband is a BYU fanatic and you don't have any kids for him to share it with? You blog about your dog wearing a BYU sweater. We make the poor pup where it every game day hoping it brings good luck, so far so good minus the New Mexico game. I know  a post about our dog, but like I said we don't have kids to blog about nor do we have very interesting lives at the moment.

Our Christmas Break

I love Christmas because this means we get to go to Colorado for the entire school break and be with my family. Most know where I am from but those of you who don't it is a small town of 700 people, one paved road, one school, one church and a post office so considering there is nothing there we keep ourselves pretty busy. Lucky for me I married a guy who loves country life and that I have great friends who's husbands show Chris what guys in a small town do for entertainment. The following pictures show a few things we did over the holiday. I wasn't very good at taking many pictures.
