Cake Decorating

I have been obsessed with ace of cakes and all the cake challenges on Food Network forever and have always wanted to learn how to make amazing cakes so I've finally joined a cake class which is all about fondant. So much fun! The fondant is pretty nasty but I have a recipie for it which actually is pretty tasty. This is my first cake that I have made thus far, not perfect as you can see but I hope to get a lot better.

Career Change?

Chris has started a new trade. He is now working for Evolution Deck and Floor coatings. They do a ton of different styles.(mom there is one style I have in mind for your bathroom) On a few of my days off I have gone to work with him to see how it is done. He has tried explaining it to me but I never got it. I was amazed as to how artistic you really have to be and how physically draining it was. Chris let me help with some things and I honestly haven't been that pooped after work since my roaging potato days in Colorado. I guess having my hands in someones mouth all day isn't a challenging enough job for me.

So we've joined the world of blogging. I don't find ourselves as very interesting people but we will try to keep you posted on whats going on in our lives and who knows, maybe through this we will be inspired to be more interesting.
