August 2014

We moved to Dallas for Chris to go to chiropractor school. Getting around the city is really confusing-Dallas is HUGE and most major highways are tolled but we are gradually figuring out how to drive here and how to avoid the tollways. We country folk struggle in the city. There are 3 boys in Chris's class from Utah 2 of which  graduated from the same high school as Chris and he even knew the sister to one of them. We also have had a lot of visitors our first week here. My parents helped us move then Chris's brother and his family came, as well as a close friend from Utah all because of a BYU football game :) It was fun to see everyone.

We took my parents o a restaurant that we tried when we were here a few months ago. Everyone loved it. There are a lot of historic homes and sites converted to museums all around the restaurant it is a really neat little place.

It is seriously so hot here a pool is a MUST. When you look up the humidity it isn't that much most days but we can definitely feel it since we come from  no humidity. We live right next to this mazing pool and it has helped us adjust little better.

The BYU Texas game in Austin. BYU won.

Spencer and Chris look a little miserable in the Texas heat.

This was a ceremony that was the end of a 2 day orientation that Chris had to attend where all the 1st year students have to walk across the stage. It is suppose to symbolize moving from undergraduate to a doctorate degree. They had to recite and sign the schools honor code.
